It also treats metabolic dysfunctions of nervous origin, mental derangement, depression, arteriosclerosis (thickening and hardening of the walls of the arteries) and high blood pressure.
Carduus marianus – treats symptoms of liver disease like enlarged liver, gall stone disease, hepatitis, ascites and hepatic cirrhosis. It also treats varicose veins (veins that have become enlarged and twisted), congestion of portal vein and ulcers. Dosage: Unless otherwise prescribed, Schwabe Carduus Marianus Pentarkan Tablets should be taken as follows; For acute complaints, 1 tablet of Carduus Marianus Pentarkan should be taken at hourly intervals until an improvement occurs, up to a maximum of 12 times a day. Children should be given half of the adult dose.
