We learn a lot from animals, they bring joy to us as pets, these wonderful creatures inhabit the earth and our homes, sharing the journey with us. They trace their origin to the same wilderness from where our pre-historic humans arose. The worldwide growing popularity for homeopathy pet medicines can be traced to the classical homeopathy principle; that all symptoms of illness in any organism whether two legged or four legged are intimately interconnected. And it’s a old science, Veterinary homeopathy dates almost to the time of its first use for human disease, Johan Joseph Lux & Georg Adolph weber were the first known practitioners in the 1830’s in Germany.

Homeopathy Veterinary Treatment : Scope

Homeopathy Veterinary medicines cover all aspects of animal diseases, both acute and chronic problems in the ears, nose, and throat, the heart and circulatory system, the digestive organs, the ligaments, tendons, and joints, the reproductive system and urinary tract, and the skin. Remember dogs and cats don’t always need the strongest drugs or most invasive surgery. Looking at the physical and emotional problems as pieces of larger puzzle and taking a holistic view that something happened that allowed external factors to cause illness helps. Homeopathy underlines the simple fact that unless you strengthen the body, your pets (whether it be dogs or cats) will continue to get sick

Cancer in animals for example, Veterinarians fight it with drugs, radiation, chemotherapy and these treatments can be very effective. But the animal immune system has the inherent ability to locate and destroy cancel cells before they spread. Homeopathic treatment recognizes the importance of diet, herbs even flower essences and other natural treatments to strengthen the immune system. No matter what your pet is confronted with, its body is well designed to fight back.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) on homeopathy Veterinary Medicines

Q: Why should i choose homeopathy for my pet?

A: It a highly effective noninvasive form of treatment with few or no side effects with potential to heal animals fully so that they can live productive lives. It is very popular in western countries especially America and Europe, as per results of the 1997 pet owner survey by the American Animal Hospital Association – 21% of pet owners sought some form of alternative care for their pet, while results of a 1997 survey on the Internet showed that 23% of responding pet owners would use alternative care as the primary therapy for their pets

Q: How does a Vet treat my pet with Homeopathy?

A:In choosing a homeopathic remedy a Vet takes all of an animal’s clinical signs, even those that are seemingly unrelated to the primary problem, into consideration, on the principle that all of the symptoms are “signs” of the body’s reaction to external stimuli or internal imbalances. He then takes gathers these symptoms together and analyzes; then the remedy most appropriate to the case is chosen by comparison with descriptions of remedies that have been catalogued over the years. The chosen remedy is then administered per os in the appropriate strength orc”potency.” Often, only a single dose of a remedy is necessary, for if it is the “similimum” that is, the remedy that exactly matches the signs and the disease process affecting the animal, it can give the animal’s life force the “push” it needs to heal itself.

Q; Is it scientific or just a hoax?

A:  A layman might find  certain concepts of homeopathy contrary to logic, but recent research in the field of biochemistry has shown that very diluted substances can have powerful effects on the physical body. Also, recent advances in physics have opened the way for scientific explanations of the actions of homeopathic remedies in physical systems. There has been more laboratory and clinical research into homeopathic medicine than most people realize. Although much more research and clinical work are needed, studies already done provide a good scientific basis to which practitioners can refer for an insight into homeopathy

It can also be very helpful in the treatment of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis and spondylosis. Homeopathy can also be helpful in palliating discomfort associated with cancer.

Q: Is homeopathy effective in treating large animals like Cows, Horses ?

A: Yes effective in large animals too because indications are much the same. Homeopathy can deal with many of the acute and chronic medical conditions seen in cattle and horses. It may be a useful therapy in some common conditions, such as downer syndrome in cows, mastitis, and colic in horses. Remedies generally come in the form of tiny tablets or liquid and are designed to be absorbed through the tongue or gums and not put down the throat; since neither tablets nor liquid has much taste, administration is usually quite easy. 1. Hello,

I have an indie adopted male cat who has been neutered but has been very aggressive since he was a kitten. He is now 1.5 yrs. is there any homeopathic medicine that can help in calming his aggression?

  2. My dog is of 9 years old, he is suffering from kidney issues, kindly advice us on the homeopathy treatment

  3. HI SIR I AM HAVING 3MONTHS OLD INDIAN MASTIFF HER LEG BONES LLOOK WEAK SO KINDLY SUGGEST BEST MEDICINE FOR MY DOG BONES STRENGTH

  4. We adopted Bunna, 3 years old male white Spitz when it was 16 months old weighing just 6kg. It now weighs 12kg and eats only boiled egg and roti-paneer. In summer season it goes off egg, so, we give it 250mg Spirulina every alternate day.The former owners seem to have got it from a puppy mill when it was just 4-5 days old. The reason to give it away, I think, was concealed by them and their vet. They just said that they could not manage it which I believe is false as a month later they purchased another that was 1 month old. Their vet had stated that its normal temp was 102 F which was wrong. Out vet found a high lymphocyte count probably due to untreated tick problems that was cured. In June 2017 it had its first seizure. No froth but convulsions. Our vet gave it mild phenobarbital along with Viusid Pets (made by Vivaldi). Soon it was normal. However, it had a second episode on Jan 31, 2018, very similar to the earlier one. We gave it to smell phenobarbital and rushed it to our vet who gave it an injection of Prednisolone and Pheniramine Maleate and advised blood test primarily to check lymphocyte, eosinophil, etc. We are giving it to smell phenobarbital 2-4 drop on cotton three times a day along with Viusid Pets 2ml twice a day to prevent any kidney damage.

It is a hyperactive very loving companion who likes to bark at one and all at the gate. Has an odd habit of licking the penis of a couple of its stray pals that we feed. It has not been mated as our vet could not find a companion for it. We are not prepared to keep another dog just to mate. It did not drink milk neither with its former owners nor with us. Hates kibble; not even Farmina N&D. It is not our first adopted Spitz. We are looking for homeopathic treatment for its seizure and BPH that may develop in senior years. We live in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
