My name is Satish, aged 47, Male.
10 years ago I was diagnosed with swollen turbinates and got laser surgery as i was having very frequent colds, running nose, breathing problems. Over last 3years, I am suffering from severe nasal blockages (alternatively) and continuous thin watery discharge from the blocked nostril. A recent consultation with ENT doctor who did endoscopy told that I am having an allergic rhinitis and swollen turbinates again. My right side nostril is somewhat better than left side one. Left side nostril has very narrow air passage. He prescribed nasal steroid spray and levocetrizine tablets as medication. I am very much concerned to continue with this medication further for a long time.
I feel better if I take okacet (cetrizine) tablet for a day or two when condition is aggravated but again go back to the original situation. Every night, during midnight and early hours (3AM-5AM) I get up with a runny & blocked nose either of the side.
Present condition:
-24×7 thin water discharge (mostly from the blocked nostril)
-Deviated nasal septum (towards right side) and post nasal drip, very sensitive to dust, smoke and pollution etc.
-No nasal polyps ( as per endoscopy)
